Can you please explain why the answer is D and not A

Balance between seems kind of repetitive.
It is better to say balance of x, y, and z

Choice (A) is incorrect due to its use of between. Between is used only when 2 items are being compared. Also one needs all of the listem items to raise a million dollars, not one or more of the items. Choice (B) does not correct "between". (C) Makes no sense. Choice (E) still seems to suggest a choice has to be made.
