1000SC - Qn 63

by long.dinh.huynh Fri Apr 05, 2013 10:01 am

Hi,

After July, anyone disposing of or servicing refrigerators must capture the chlorofluorocarbons in the refrigerant chemicals.

(A) anyone disposing of or servicing
(B) those who dispose or service
(C) anyone disposing of or who services
(D) the disposal or repair of
(E) someone who disposes or repairs

What's wrong with B. Why A is the correct answer since Anyone + Verb-ing is not a present continuous tense

You cannot "dispose ... refrigerators"; you have to dispose OF them. As for why A is correct, that is not the question you should be asking. Remember, SC is about eliminating four incorrect answers, and what's left is the one you go with.

More importantly than ANY of this though, I want to caution you in the strongest possible terms NOT to use this particular source. We have observed enough outright errors in this source that you could find yourself led astray quite easily without even realizing it. Please stick to more reliable resources of practice material such as the official guide books.
