10 The mass of 1 cubic meter of a substance is 800 kg under certain conditions. What is the volume, in cubic centimeters of 1 gram of this substance under these conditions?
(1kg=1,000gms and 1 cm^3=1,000,000cm^3
a.80
b. 1.25
c 8.00
d12.25
e. 80.00
ans is b

Can someone help with the conversion math on this problem?

I would first convert m^3 to cm^3. Since there are 100cm in 1 m, I would have taken 1 m^3 * (100^3 cm^3/ 1 m^3).
Then, since 800 kg = 800,000 grams (since there are 1000 grams in 1 kg), I would have written and reduced the following ratio: 1000000 cm^3/ 800000 g. This reduces to 10/8 = 5/4.
I would have then written and solved the proportion: 5/4 = x/1 to get x = 1.25
