I know the answer is 1 just by looking at it, but for the life of me I cannot prove it algebraically. Help appreciated.
Thanks

=> 2^(x) + 1/2^(x) = 5/2
(4x^2+1)/2x = 5/2
4x^2+1=5x
4x^2-5x+1=0
(4x-1)(x-1)
x=1/4 or x=1
