730 or 710 ??

by ArjunR555 Fri Sep 19, 2014 6:50 am

I have 2 GMAT scores. The breakup is as follows.

Score 1 : 730/96%; Verbal 42/96%; Quant 48/74%; IR 2/12%; AWA 5/60%
Score 2 : 710/92%; Verbal 38/85%; Quant 49/79%; IR 6/67%; AWA 4.5/44%

I will be applying to the following schools:
CBS
Sloan
Wharton
Insead
LBS

Looking for advice on which score I should self report when I'm filling up the applications. I'm leaning towards the 730, but I'm afraid of the IR score. I don't want that to be a cause for an instant ding.

Would greatly appreciate some solid inputs.
Thanks in advance !

Hi there--

Go for the 730! That is a bigger deal (not to mention impact on the published score average for the school) than the IR, and the score report still includes all scores so if they choose they can view the others as well.

Congrats on the 730!
