The last doses of a recently discontinued arthritis medication called Fenine were prescribed in Marville about two years ago. Tests done in Marville two years ago show Fenine as having caused abnormally high level of hypertension in arthritis patients. More recent tests of the same arthritis patients who took Fenine, however, do not show abnormally high levels of hypertension. Nevertheless, there is no reason to conclude that the studies linking Fenine and hypertension are inaccurate in this regard, since______________________

The text reads :

Now after 2 years those patients do not show abonormally high level of hypertension

And the questions says the study is not inaccurate

so logically we can say the effect of fenine to cause abnormally high level of hypertension was for short term and thats what answer choice C says
