A confusion about personal fit.

by liu1993918 Mon Nov 30, 2015 12:19 am

Hi, instructors.
I read the personal statement guide, but I am confused about “Personal Fit” part.
The examples in the book describe teacher's teaching method, the team work environment, and student's discussion.
Sadly, campus visit is too expensive for me.
I wonder how can I demonstrate Personal Fit?
Can you give me some suggestions, please?
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

The more you show that you know the school well, and that you know it's the best place for you, the better. Even if you cannot visit-- read everything you can about it (websites, student blogs, guides such as our Insiders Guides: http://shop.mbamission.com/collections/insider-s-guides); go to local and/or online info sessions; get in touch with current students or alumni and ask them TONS of q's about their experiences, what they love about the school, why they chose it, how it met their expectations, etc. You can get a great feel for the school and draw on that for content in your essays or interview. Let us know how else we can help!
