A question about how to select schools.

by liu1993918 Tue Sep 29, 2015 5:54 am

I always heard from others that it is better to only select 6 schools, two outside, two target, and two safety. I know maybe this is right, but I don't know why.
Dear instructors, can you clearify this to me please?
Thanks

Hi there,
Well, there's no right number. Really depends on a number of factors like your risk tolerance, your budget, your time, etc. I'd say most of our clients apply to somewhere between 4 to 6 schools. And we always encourage a range - from stretch to target to safety. But you don't necessarily need to have 2 of each.
Good luck!
