Acronym use in essay

Hi,

I'm writing my goals essay and would like to talk about going into the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Would it be appropriate to use the CPG acronym in the essay? (after I write out the 3 words once in the beginning)

Yes this is totally fine. You only need to write it out once, then use the abbreviation. For example:

... Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)...

... CPG...
