Ron sorry for opening this thread after such a long time but what to do? Manhattan seems to be the only authentic source to get our doubts clear !!
as for the source of this problem .i found this one in my verbal review book so i guess this much be those discarded GMAT prep questions
now though i picked C in this but that was because i had eliminated rest of the choices .i have read in many of Ur post that to strength an argument ,at times , all we need to do is to open a window to allow that argument to happen .
can u plz explain as how C is doing that

Per forum rules, we can't discuss problems w/o a source. This is actually from GMAT Verbal book, which we are not allowed to discuss due to copyright issues. If this is also from a GMAT Prep test, someone can post a screenshot and discuss in the proper forum.
