Antecedent coming before the noun it refers to?

by yo4561 Sat Feb 05, 2022 12:21 pm

Can you please provide a few examples in which it is correct to use an antecedent before the noun that the antecedent refers to? Many thanks in advance :)

This would most frequently occur when the pronoun is used in a clause (either independent or dependent) that occurs before the noun is presented.

While it was a huge expense, renovating the house had been a lifelong dream.
