The difference of course is obvious - one sentence says "like" and the other says "as do". :) I assume you meant to ask whether one or both is wrong. THIS IS IMPORTANT! You should not be trying to figure out which sentence is correct; you should instead look for mistakes. In this case, the "as" indicates that two clauses are being compared - "accountants regard" as "do lawyers and physicians". The problem is that the intervening clause splits the words "accountants" and "lawyers". This problem does not occur in the "like" example, because we are just comparing "accountants" to "lawyers and physicians" with a "like" in between them..
