In this question, there are 2 versions namely:
1. Stella Adler was one of the most influential artists in the American theater
2. one of the most influential artists in the American theater
In one of Ron's explanations in another SC he said that there must be one version wrong. My question is: what should we check for to confirm that version is wrong? Should we just check those 2 versions or other things (highlighted part) to prove the version is wrong?

Hi MdAbuAsad!

I'm not entirely sure what you mean when you say that there are two versions. Do you mean that there are 2 versions of the sentence structure (because there are actually several different versions), or do you mean that there are 2 versions of how the two facts about Stella Adler are arranged based on which fact is the main action of the sentence and which action is the modifier?

If the latter (which I suspect), then technically speaking, since both facts are true, I wouldn't look to see which "should" be the verb or the modifier. Instead, focus on whether the sentences are grammatically correct. If more than one choice is grammatically correct, THEN you consider whether any have broken meaning. Either fact could be used as the main action of the sentence, and either fact could be used as a modifier (depending on how the sentence is structured).

:)

Thanks for the reply, but sorry for confusion.
I'm going to explain the whole case.
Ron wanted to mean that if there is a single issue in Stella Adler was one of the most influential artists in the American theater then we can cross out choices A and C without seeing other things in those choice, probably! if there is a single issue in one of the most influential artists in the American theater then we can cross out choice D and E by the same way!
Is my understanding wrong?

So again, I don't know what you mean when you say that there are 2 "versions." Is it just how the start of the sentences are different? Because if so, then why are you not including the "version" in choice B (since it is different)?
