4 paragraphs, 2 examples for each
Para 1: Intro
thesis statement
acknowledge that there are other opinions / points of view
introduce two examples that will be discussed later
Para 2: Example #1
introduce and elaborate on first (best) example
if argument: explain why example represents some flaw in the argument and discuss how the flaw could be improved
if issue: give enough detail for the reader to fully understand the example and show that the example supports your thesis statement
Para 3: Example #2
Do the same thing as in para 2, but for your other example
Para 4: Conclusion
re-state thesis
re-acknowledge other points of view
summarize two examples / why they supported your thesis
(Note: last paragraph doesn't say anything new, but you should find new words to say the things that you've already said earlier in the essay)
