hi,

just back from my gmat :D
scored 730 -96 %ile( Q 49 V 40)

Hello there,

Congrats on the GMAT - well done! Let's breakdown your profile:

Academics: Very strong GMAT score (yay!), but average and low GPAs from undergrad and grad school, respectively. Sounds like you can address the 49% in an optional statement and explain that you work working during graduate school, but accept responsibility for not balancing your time effectively.

Work experience: Your career sounds very interesting and it sounds like you'll have lots of great leadership experiences to draw from. A great advantage is that you're not in the IT sector :)

Extracurricular: Not much in this area - would be better if you had more current extracurricular leadership roles. But, still, can be overcome.

So, your big challenges are overcoming your low grades in school and your lack of post-grad extracurricular activities. You should definitely focus on exploring your personal experiences so that you can showcase a multi-dimensional picture of yourself to the adcoms.

Sounds like you are interested in finance, so I'd suggest you start by researching the following programs:

Reach:
-Columbia
-Wharton
-Harvard

Target:
-University of Chicago
-London Business School
-Tuck

Safer:
-NYU
-University of Virginia (Darden)
-Cornell

Hope this helps as a starting point for your research. Best of luck!

Mili

Sorry, Neeraj. I'm not as well versed in MS Finance programs - you'll have to research them yourself.

Thanks,
Mili
