be likely to do something

Please could any instructor justify:

I know we can say: He is likely to come.
But when we ask the extent of this likelihood, can we say:

How likely is he to come?

Same rule, if we say: An asteroid will be likely to collide with Earth.
can we ask: How likely an asteroid will be to collide with Earth?
Or shall we just ask: How likely an asteroid will collide with Earth?
Which one is correct english?

neither. fortunately you don't have to worry about this, because the GMAT never tests questions on SC..
