because the student did not review

by nikkis638 Tue Aug 12, 2014 8:30 am

Source-800score

Because the student <did not review the study material from cover to cover the night before, he seemed> unprepared during the class.

A) did not review the study material from cover to cover the night before, he seemed

B) had not reviewed the study material from cover to cover the night before, he seemed

C) had not reviewed the study material completely the night before, he seemed(ANSWER)

D) had not reviewed the study material completely the night before, he seems

E) did not review the study material completely the night before, he seemed

my query
Here we can very well infer from the word BEFORE that action performed by the student(REVIEW) happened before the action SEEMED.plus,is the use of HAD redundant when words BEFORE and AFTER clearly indicate the sequence of actions ??

Unfortunately we can't give you any help on this question, because the question itself is flawed in a way that you won't see on the GMAT. Please understand that using practice questions from dubious sources can actually hurt your performance, and be careful which problem sources you use.
