Challenging Math Question - Seeking Expert Advice

by zeenolee Thu Sep 07, 2023 2:36 am

I hope this message finds you all in good spirits. I've come across a particularly tricky math problem and would greatly appreciate your expertise in solving it.

Here's the question:

Given a polynomial equation in standard form:

(

)
=
2

4

5

3
+
3

2

7

+
1
f(x)=2x
4
−5x
3
+3x
2
−7x+1

Find the roots of the polynomial and determine their multiplicities.

I've attempted various methods, but I seem to be hitting a roadblock. Any insights, hints, or step-by-step guidance would be immensely helpful.

Looking forward to your responses!

Unfortunately, it looks like the formatting got messed up—it's hard to tell what the equation is. Can you try typing it in yourself using regular characters? You can use the ^ symbol to indicate an exponent (eg, x^2 means x-squared).
