COMPARED TO

Hello Instructors,

The Sentence Correction guide claims that "Zebras are more vicious compared to horses" is wrong (Page 149). Why is that so?

It's just not the appropriate idiom, and that's the thing about idioms--they have their own rules and we just have to memorize them. There's really not much explanation beyond that.

As mentioned by Ron in one of his "Thursday's with Ron" sessions, the word COMPARED is used to put 2 statistics together.. Let the reader judge and make her/his conclusions of what is or MORE / LESS..
