Comparison ellipses

by sw001 Tue Dec 22, 2015 5:14 pm

Dear Instructors,

The cost of running salons is about the same as other types of businesses.

Is the above Comparison correct?

I am assuming the ellipses as: The cost of running salons is about the same as ("the cost of running") other types of businesses. - a similar comparison has been made in an OG question. "While it costs the same to run nuclear....." choice E comparison.

Thank you for your response!

hi,
as you are probably aware, OG is a banned source here.
this extends not only to the literal text of the problems, but also to anything else that's functionally identical to those problems.

in other words, the following are also not allowed:

• asking questions about OG problems, without citing the problems themselves;

• 'transforming' an OG problem without changing any of its functional parts, and then asking about your 'new' version (as you've done here).

thank you for your understanding.
