Its a Subject Verb Agreement question, and the correct ans is
C) Consumption : Triggers : Causes.

My doubt is between C and D. Had been the "cause" of option D were "Causes", I suppose this would be correct because Consumption of Bread is more relevent than Consumption of Bread Products. Right !!

Answer C is fine.

But i don't see your point here. Are you saying that "bread" is more meaningful than "bread products"?
