CR from OG11 Q56

by AKD Wed Nov 21, 2007 11:05 pm

Can somebody please provide explanation to this OG question.
The reason I am posting this issue because I am confused when should I use contapositive.
I learned : if A -> B then (not B) -> (not A) is correct
and at the same time (not A) --> (not B) is wrong.

Whereas in this OG question:
Situation is : Few Social Scientists on NIH --> Little NIH financial support for social science research.
Answer is : Increase the representation --> increase the funding.

Where as I was looking for something like: (not little) NIH support for social science --> (Not few) Social Scientists
==> More NIH support for social science --> more Social scientist

Can anybody please tell me where am I missing? Am I using the wrong trick at wrong place or something else?
