CR QUESTIONS:PARALLEL REASONING

I just wanted to inquire whether questions based on parallel reasoning are still asked in the gmat. I guess they are not present in the 12th edition as well as the verbal review edition.

what is "parallel reasoning"? are those the questions on which they present you with a situation, and say "which of these five situations is MOST LIKE the situation presented in the passage"?

yeah, i haven't seen too many of those; those are mostly the domain of the gmat. it's too bad, because they're usually easier than most other CR problems.
