Difference between use of "due to" and " because"

Please can you explain me the difference between "due to" and "because".

I can answer some part of the question. Whenever you are in a doubt whether to use 'due to' or not, try replacing it with 'caused by'. And on Gmat 'because' is a preferable option over 'due to'.
