Doubt on tense

by rakesh.id Tue Sep 11, 2012 6:55 am

Which of the following constructions is correct?

1. It is me who helped David when he lost his job.
2. It was me who helped David when he lost his job.

Thanks!

i believe 2nd construction is right. No matter you are talking about the "help" in present, but as the help was done in the past so I believe we have to use WAS.
I Can. I Will.

they are both wrong! you should use "I" rather than "me"..
