"Which of the following best completes the passage?" is similar to "Draw a Conclusion." Look for an answer that restates the argument (or part of the argument) and that doesn't claim too much.

For "explain an event or discrepancy" questions, rephrase the question to highlight the discrepancy. The idea is to put the event/issue to be explained into your own words, ensuring that you understand and focus on it. Look for an answer that provides a new, fact-based premise that directly illustrates why the apparent discrepancy is not a discrepancy after all.

Both of these question types will accompany arguments with no conclusion, only premises.
