For Bossy verbs and their Mood

by sw001 Sun Mar 30, 2014 12:19 pm

Dear Instructors,

For Bossy verbs that can take either Command Subjunctive or Infinitive form. How do we determine which form to pick as an answer choice. If the original sentence is in a particular mood - Command subjunctive or Infinitive. Do we retain the same mood of the original sentence while picking answer choices?

In the below question - require is the bossy verb which can take both the forms.

No OG problems on this forum. Please read the forum rules before posting; thanks.

A decision between two correct forms is a non-decision"”you can only eliminate things that are wrong!
If you see a choice between two correct forms, just ignore it and look for another decision point.
