MbaMission Admissions,
I'm interested in gauging my candidacy at several MBA programs, based upon my GMAT performance, GPA, work experience, etc.
I took the GMAT in January (2014) and scored the following:
Total Score: 640
Verbal: 39
Quant: 39
IR: 8
AWA: 5.5
I studied for several months leading up to the exam, all while working full-time and planning/coordinating a wedding on the side. I understand my quant score is not the highest; however, my performance in the other areas of the exam was solid.
I graduated from a well-regarded, private university with a degree in Business Management (emphasis: Strategy). The business school ranks in the Top 15 among undergraduate business schools nearly every year (according to Businessweek). I graduated with a 3.75 GPA and held several prominent leadership positions among the student body at the Business School. Additionally, I earned a "B+" or better in my quant-heavy classes: Statistics (A), Financial Management (A-), Managerial Economics (A-), Financing Ventures (B+), and Accounting (B+),
Upon graduating, I began working at a Fortune 50 company in a Finance Rotational Program, completing rotations in the company's Corporate Treasury department, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department, as well as roles with financial reporting. By the time I begin applying to MBA programs, I will have worked for this particular company for 3+ years and in three different cities.
I am fluent in three languages, and I am actively involved in leadership roles in the religious community.
My target schools are the following:
1) Duke
2) Virginia
3) USC
4) UCLA
5) UT-Austin
6) Georgetown
7) Michigan
Please evaluate my profile and let me know what my chances seem to be at the universities listed above.
Thanks!
