GMAT Flash cards doubt

by priyankur.saha Wed Apr 29, 2009 2:25 am

Please refer to the Flashcard_MGMAT_2009.pdf file

Page Number: 68 second slide (slide number 18 - GEO)
I understand the concept and the way angle of PRQ is solved but, based on general geometry formula, my question is why angle PRQ is 35 degree? Actually, angle of PRQ should be 30 degree because PRQ is right angle triangle, RPQ =60 degree, angle RQR=90. Could you please point if anything I am missing?

Page Number: 72 second slide (slide number 26 - GEO)
No where it is mentioned that O is the center of the circle so it cannot be ascertained, based on picture, that OQ=OR. Hence answer should be insufficient.
Let me know what you think.

thanks

i just looked at the file, and it lists angle prq as 30°. perhaps someone already edited this.

you are correct. good eyes.
we'll probably edit this so that o is the center of the circle.
