OA is C taken from Aristotle Book
According to Gmat, using "THAT" after "say" is a mistake then why C is the right answer. Moreover, A A staunch critic of the Umpire Decision Review System (UDRS)--------> (modifier) How this modifier is related to "the football team captain"

Modifier correctly points out to the captain, as the captain is the critic of UDRS system. However, i have a doubt regarding choice 'c':
backed the controversial innovation saying that
In the above, it is not clear if the captain is saying or the innovation is saying?

unfortunately we can't give you any help on this question, because the question itself is flawed in a way that you won't see on the GMAT. please understand that using practice questions from dubious sources can actually hurt your performance, and be careful which problem sources you use..

so 'that' is not needed after 'saying'/'said' ??
