How to improve at verbal ?

by ritika_karki Thu Aug 30, 2012 6:21 am

I have been doing OG Verbal questions and my accuracy is around 85 % for RC and CR . SC is a little bad with 75 % so I am trying to improve at that . When I gave a GMAT Prep test i got 660 . Quant 48 & Verbal 33 . Timing is definitely an issue and I had to solve the last 6 questions in Verbal in a hurry ( got 4 of those wrong ) . Should I go back to studying the basics or focus on practicing more questions keeping a tab on the time ?
TIA !

It has to be a mix of both. Study the basics and give an exam once a week to keep a check on your speed.

it depends on whether you've fully learned all the material from the strategy guides. if not, go back and study those concepts more. if you know all the material but are just having trouble applying the information to problems in a reasonable time frame, then you should work on practicing problems and trying to improve both accuracy and timing..
