IDIOM "ENOUGH THAT"

by karinab722 Thu Jul 24, 2014 12:49 pm

hi..

i have recently come across the idiom ënough that. as per my knowledge, the correct idiom is "enough to". however, note the question below :

"forward thinking business leaders can now install technologically sophisticated communication systems quickly enough so as not to lose information in a lengthy conversion "

1) `so as to not lose information
2) that information is not lost
3) so that there is no lost information
4) and thus not lose information
5) and this way there is no lost information

OG - "that information is not lost"...is this OG wrong? please help!

"OG" stands for Official Guide. This problem is not from the Official Guide. What is the source?

The Official Guide (12th edition) explicitly declares that "enough that..." is unidiomatic.

The relevant problem is #124 in that edition. (This problem was removed in the transition to the 13th edition.) Last answer choice.
