"imagine" a non-continuous verb

by Aquamarine Mon Jul 23, 2012 8:01 pm

Isn't this statement incorrect (because "imagine" is a non-continuous verb) ? 3rd paragraph at : http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/07/23/a-foolish-lack-of-terror/

"But if anyone in Europe is imagining that a Greek exit can be easily contained, they’re dreaming. "

i don't know what you mean by a non-continuous verb, but i can assure you that such terms are irrelevant to scoring well on the GMAT. the best way to do this is to make sure you never eliminate an answer choice unless you can point to a specific grammar rule that makes that choice wrong. and it's also a good idea not to get SC examples from real-world sources, because other sources may not use the same grammar rules as the GMAT uses..
