In the rectangular coordinate system, a line passes through the points (0,5) and (7,0). Which of the following points must the line also pass through?
(-14, 10)
(-7, 5)
(12, -4)
(14, -5)
(21, -9)

Hi gaurav,
Take a piece of paper and actually plot this out. Notice that you have been given the x and y intercepts with this equation. We find that the line intercepts the y axis at 5 and the x axis at 7. When we draw this line, we see that it has a negative slope and it is going down as it goes left to right. Thus, for every 7 that it goes right, it goes down 5. Notice that answer choice D will be our next set of integer points; from point (7,0), I will go over 7 and down 5, leading me to point (14,-5).
