In around one month I leave for a paid visit to Fisher (The Ohio State University). I couldn't be more excited, or nervous. I was told I will have an interview with one of the admissions officers. Can anyone tell me if this is the official interview or if that would be still to come? I have already sent my application in (everything but the GMAT is more than sufficient; 620 GMAT). I applied to the SMF program.

If this is the official interview, and even if it is not, would someone mind posting possible questions to prepare for? The Ohio State University is where I want to go so there will be no need to fake excitement or anything of the sorts.

You can ask the admissions office and/or those organizing your weekend visit certainly; it's possible this is more of an early/evaluative interview, but it could be your actual interview-- I suggest you verify if you'd like to know. Either way of course you'll want to be prepared for a professional interview. ;)

Categories of questions can include:
-Open ended q's, 'Tell me about yourself', 'Walk us through your career/past/etc'
-Career goals and WHY q's, 'Why do you want this degree?' 'Where do you see yourself in 5 years?'
-School specific q's, 'Why Fisher?' etc
-Leadership/accomplishment/scenario q's about your past

It's definitely a good idea to practice answer q's, either with a friend or admissions consultant, or even on your own out loud, to ensure you feel comfortable. Good luck to you!
