Kindly evaluate: 660(49Q/31V) /5 yrs 4 months IT exp

Hi there,

I just gave my GMAT got a dismal 660(49Q/31V), was expecting around 720.
Before I decide to sit for another GMAT test, I would like to find if I stand any chance if I work well on my essays when I apply to the first rung colleges.
I'm interested in:
1. HEC
2. INSEAD
3. IMD
4. LBS
5. Said
6. Judge
7. ISB

I have 5 yrs, 4 months of IT experience with some visits of short duration to US and UK(6-7 months in total, 5 short 1-1/2 months trips).
I have experience in Insurance and Publishing domain. I am into BPM/BI space in IT side.

I have an average undergrad with good sports background and very good high school background

Hi Shallabh,

I'm not familiar with all of the programs you list but you may want to consider diversifying your application list. I believe a 660 GMAT is going to be on the low end of the 20-80 range those schools, and the IT space is usually over-represented in the applicant pool.

Since you are five years removed from college, your activities from that era are unlikely to help you that much, and high school performance is not usually taken into account when the schools evaluation your application.
