list of verbs that change meaning in active or passive voice

I figured this might be one way the newer meaning-based sentence correction might try to trick us. Is there a thread or a list of these verbs anywhere?

the only verb I can think of is "descend" from the OG problem.

"is descended" comes from a lineage
"descended" coming down stairs for example

i understand the normal distinction with do-er and do-ee

i killed him
i was killed by him

but i'm more concerned with a verb that completely changes meaning in a non obvious way. I'm a native speaker and I couldn't catch the "descend" active/passive distinction the first time.

I don't think you're likely to find a comprehensive list anywhere. It's almost like asking for a definitive list of prepositions or idioms - there are just too many of them. The best thing to do is just familiarize yourself with the more common ones, particularly the ones you've found in OG problems..
