makes vs forces

by mamajonov Wed Mar 27, 2013 11:10 pm

Dear Experts
What is the difference between "make" and "force".

I could not find the problem itself, but I was struggling to choose beteen of both. I just remembered and wanted to confirm it, before I forget.
Problem was approximately like following:
The price of raw materials increased recently, making/forcing manufacturers increase the price of the products.

Your kind opinions are highyly appreciated
