MBA profile evaluation

Hi all,

Please find the details of my profile below:

GMAT: 700 V-35 Q-49 AWA-4.5 IR-5

GPA: 9.38, BITS Pilani

Work Exp: Software developer for 1.5 years at Amazon, 0.5 years at a financial analytics company

Leadership and team experience: Lead the team towards successful completion of two critical projects

Career goal: Pursue a career in financial consulting

Interested specialization: Finance

Financial aid is a primary concern for me. Can you please suggest some business schools with a good ROI/financial aid according to my profile.

I'm planning to apply to ISB, Insead at present.

Hi Kiran,

Thanks for posting. Sounds like your GMAT is respectable, as is your experience but that said-- you have fewer years of experience than most applicants, and your profile based just on what you've shared here sounds pretty common/similar to many others. It's hard to assess in too much depth based on this info without digging in deeper to your accomplishments, leadership, goals, etc, but I would suggest considering working a bit more, focusing on making more of an impact and increasing your leadership and community involvement, and work on your 'story' of what makes you unique and what you want to do with the degree. In terms of financial aid, keep in mind that most MBA students finance their degree with low-interest-rate educational loans, paid back over 5-15 years with their post-MBA salaries.
