MGMAT Guide3 Word Problem Questions

by i.ankurjaini Sat Aug 22, 2015 9:30 pm

Two racecar drivers, Abernathy and Berdoff, are driving around a circular track. If
Abernathy is 200 meters behind Berdoff and both drivers drive at their respective
constant rates, how long, in seconds, will it take for Abernathy to catch up to Ber
doff?
(1) The circumference of the racetrack is 1,400 meters.
(2) Berdoff is driving 25 meters per minute faster than Abernathy.

If the given question is correct, the answer to DS question will still be "B" - Statement 2 alone is sufficient, and not 1.

But, if I have to solve this, the answer is never ? Since Berdoff will always be ahead of Abernathy.

Is that correct ?

hi, this is the wrong folder for your question. questions about MPrep materials other than the CAT exams belong in the MPrep non-CAT folder.

please re-post in the appropriate location. thanks.
