by timothy_straub Sat Jul 18, 2009 9:31 pm

1.)
If n is an integer and n = 2*3*5*7*11*13/77k

then which of the following could be the value of k?

________________________________________
Correct Answer
22 3%
26 81%<------Correct
35 12%
54 1%
60 3%

It seems like this is an easy problem(81% got correct) but I do not know the shortcut?

2.) DS Question
Who got the highest marks among Abdul, Baig and Chiman?
(1) Chiman got half as many marks as Abdul and Baig together got.
(2) Abdul got half as many marks as Baig and Chiman together got.

Answer "C"

My soln: (A)dbul= 1/2(B+C) (C)himan= 1/2(A+B)
A+B+C=0
1/2B + 1/2C + B + 1/2A + 1/2B
2B + 1/2C + 1/2A = 0

Which got highest marks? "Baig"??

3.) DS Question
Given that side AC of triangle ABC is 2. Find the length of BC.
(1) AB is not equal to AC
(2) Angle B is 30 degrees.

Thank you in advance. :)

1. rewrite the question as follows:
If n is an integer and n = 2*3*5*7*11*13/7*11*k

then which of the following could be the value of k?

In other words, which of the answer choices divides 2*3*5*13 with no remainder? only 26 (2*13) and the result is 3*5 or 15.

2. They all received equal marks. Try plugging in any number greater than or equal to zero (since marks cannot be negative).

3.
as presented, the answer is E. is there an image that shows <BAC or <BCA as right angles?

hi -

please read the forum rules.

you are required to:
* post EXACTLY ONE PROBLEM PER THREAD
* TITLE the thread according to the FIRST FEW WORDS OF THE PROBLEM

if you don't do these things, then it will be impossible for other students to search for the thread (which is the principal point of this forum - to serve as a large archive of reference material for others).

please do these things. thank you.
