MGMAT - Present Perfect Definition contention

by vineetbatra Sat Jul 25, 2009 5:13 pm

I am currently reading MGMAT SC guide. In the book the definition of Present Perfect is "An action that started in the past but continuous into the present"

Eg. We have lived in a hut for three days.

My contention is that this definition is of Present Perfect Continuous and ideally the eg. above should be written as

"We have been living in a hut for three days. "

Please explain where am I incorrect, if I am.

Thanks,

Vineet

these are both correct. there are only minor rhetorical differences; you will NOT have to differentiate between these two forms on the exam.
