MGMAT Test scoring

by enniguy Mon Aug 03, 2009 1:22 am

Hi,

I took an online MGMAT CAT Test today and I got 710 but with many questions wrong. I got about 15 Verbal questions wrong and about 13 Math questions wrong. I am worried if my score is bloated as I believe that I should get lesser score for so many wrong answers. Could someone explain me if they happen to know the reason behind this?

Thanks.

enni, the algorithm for scoring is not based on the number of questions you get right or wrong, but how difficult they are. Most people will get many of the questions wrong. If you're missing easy questions, then you will end up with a lower score. Since you are getting a 710, that means the questions you're getting wrong are probably the very difficult ones (700+).

This article addresses in more detail how your score is determined.
