Hi There,
I am having a little trouble identifying modifiers in a sentence (fine in the strat guide, but having some trouble finding them in Official Guide.)
Do you have any advice to help me idenify these verbs?

This is an awfully general question for a forum, so we aren't really able to provide a complete answer here. However, I'll say the following:
If you can identify modifiers in the Strategy Guide, as you say, then you probably have the capability to identify them in the OG problems. The problem, though, is the fact that you're EXPECTING modifiers when you see them in the strategy guide, because you're doing problems that occur after the section on modifiers! Transferring the skills to OG problems, on which you don't know ahead of time what errors are tested on which problems, is more difficult.
The best advice I can give is this: Be meticulous about checking the error types in every OG problem - even the ones you get right. If you do this enough, then your mind will generate an accurate profile of 'Gee, that's a modifier,' and you'll be able to recognize them both more quickly and more accurately.
