Need help in verbal

Ron/Stacey,
I have been scoring consistently 48-49 in quant and in verbal i am hovering around 28-31 as a result, I am unable to cross 700 mark...please help me out on this...I was suppose to write my GMAT this month but I am forced to postpone.
I am scoring 28-32 in verbal with around 12-15 mistakes (3-5 in each section) Please suggest me how can i improve my points by another 8-10 points
Basics are quite clear for me...I tend to loose focus when convoluted language/words appear and timing is not even a constraint..If i need to practice,please suggest me the source..I am working on problems which appear on forums too
