need help with a RC question-Chapter 3 (5th edn) qs#6-pg. 56

Hi,
Could you please explain why 'the Point' of this passage 'Animal Treatment' is not this statement - "A new sensibility....adversarial relationship."

Look forward to your reply.

hi,
please read the forum rules before posting. there are two things wrong here:

1/
please post the problem in the correct folder.
if the problem is from one of our strategy guides, then the post belongs in the "MGMAT non-CAT verbal" folder, not in this one.

2/
you're supposed to post the entire text of the passage. most forum moderators (myself included) don't have immediate access to the books when we're writing forum posts, so it's not really possible for us to answer a question like this one.
if this is a really long RC passage, then i suppose it would make sense not to type it, but then you may have to wait a little longer, for a forum moderator who actually has the books handy. if it's a shorter passage, you should just type it into your post.
(and as far as the "..." in the answer choice -- definitely don't do that.)

also, please try to explain your current thought process.
if you just ask a general question about an answer choice (or, worse, about an entire problem), then we'll likely just write something equivalent to what's already in the answer key of the book.
on the other hand, if you explain specifically what you had a problem with (or why you thought a particular wrong answer was actually correct, etc.), then we can give a more meaningful response.

please post a new thread in the correct folder -- preferably with the text of the passage, but definitely with (a) the full text of the answer choice you're talking about and (b) some sort of description of what you were thinking.
thanks.
