"Non-Standard Word Problem"

In the CAT assessment there is a category called "Non-Standard Word Problem", but I don't see any strategy guide chapter devoted to such a category. What is that type of problem, and what is the strategy?

You can find a list of "Miscellaneous" OG problems in the back of our Word Translations strategy guide. These problems are solved by charting, listing, drawing pictures, and employing logical reasoning, so they don't necessarily have a one-size-fits-all approach. The new edition of our strategy guides (coming soon! see details on our website) will address them more completely.
