Manhattan Prep says: A noun followed immediately by the word “that” signals a noun modifier.
What is an example of this?
I can't think of one without using a verb (e.g. The cat that likes to drink milk is very soft)
Thank you
I can't either, and that's ok! The "that" still describes a noun (the cat), so it is indeed a noun modifier. The fact that the modifier has a verb in it just means that you can call it a "subordinate clause" (clauses have verbs).yo4561 Wrote:I can't think of one without using a verb (e.g. The cat that likes to drink milk is very soft)
