Noun Modifier

by thapliyalabhi Wed Jun 19, 2013 1:35 am

I was going through Noun modifiers in Sentence Correction guide, and read this sentence:

Jim biked along an old dirt road to get to his house, which cut through the woods.

This sentence was corrected by rewriting as "To get to his house, Jim biked along an old dirt road, which cut through the woods."

I am wondering if this is also correct-Jim biked along an old dirt road, which cut through the woods,to get to his house.

Please tell whether this is correct.

Yes, I believe your version is also correct. 'which cut through the woods' is non essential part, so can be kept in brackets as you have done.
