OG quant review ?s dont' match to MGMAT books.

by jamie.rodrigues Mon Jan 18, 2010 9:53 am

Hi,

I'm finding that the Quantitative Review questions that are apparently supposed to match up to MGMAT sections in the math strategy books don't really make sense. For example, I was using the Geometry book, and the questions that supposedly were supposed to relate to Geometry had nothing to do with Geometry for the most part.

I suspect that this section was not updated in the 4th edition, or wasn't updated from when the Quant review updated to the second edition.

Is there an updated errata sheet that properly relates the OG questions in the quantitative review, second edition, to the respective sections in the MGMAT math strategy books?

Thank you

If you look on the lower right corner of the back of your Strategy Guide, you'll find your book indicating either 4.0 or 4.1.

I believe the 4.0 editions have the OG problems from OG 12 and 1st Edition of the Supplements.

The 4.1 editions have the OG problems from OG 12 and 2nd Edition of the Supplements.

I think in both editions, the Geometry problems sets are in general correct. However, there were a few errors that were caught early on. You can find them here:
4th-edition-geometry-advanced-question-pg-101-t7753.html

You can also compare problems between the 1st and 2nd Editions of the Supplement using our analysis documents:

Finally, if you contact student services, they may be able to send you a document that provides the appropriate problem lists. Unfortunately we don't produce an errata sheet, because we are constantly looking for ways to improve our materials.

Thanks,
